Hello there! My name is Iurii. Welcome! Here I share distilled materials from BA practitioners from around the globe, along with my own. Sometimes I do YouTube videos about my travels for BA events or other educational content.
Who is Iurii Gomon?
I started my business analysis career in 2012 as a trainee for a local IT outsourcing company. In 12 years, I rose to Head of the Business Analysis Department when the full-scale invasion hit Ukraine, and I had to relocate and build a new life elsewhere.
I keep practicing business analysis, now in the insurance domain. In addition, I host two business analysis conferences (one in Europe, one in Ukraine – both online), teach business analysis on demand, freelance, and mentor/coach occasionally. I am also dabbling in manual QA and AI for business analysis to extend my competencies. Project/Product management – you are next, beware!
I started Passionate BA in 2022 to expand beyond my corporate environment and learn from people around the world. Both now help me a lot in my volunteering role as Director of Global Communications for IIBA Ukraine, where I bring best practices from the folks I meet back to the Ukrainian community.
