My journey to IIBA Poland Summit

This is another episode of the passionate business analyst vlog series in which I share my professional life as a business analyst (first one was about Balkan conference) In this episode, you will learn about the IIBA Poland Summit Conference, one of the most important events in our profession. I had a trip to Warsaw, Poland, to be a delegate this year (unfortunately, I missed the call for speakers. Otherwise, I’d speak as well).

In this video, I share my trip and the week in life of a business analyst at the conference. I share my journey, details on travel expenses, tips on how to prepare for the conference, and networking thoughts. By the end of this video, you shall learn whether it is worth visiting next year (spoiler – ya-ha!) and how to get the most out of this great event.

About IIBA Poland Summit Trip

Attending the IIBA Poland Summit was an incredible adventure, packed with insights, networking, and fresh perspectives on business analysis. This conference gathered business analysts, thought leaders, and industry experts from across Poland and beyond, providing a rich mix of knowledge-sharing and practical applications that I was excited to bring back to my own work.

From the start, the energy was inspiring. The event opened with a keynote that set the stage for innovation in business analysis, encouraging us to think about our roles not just as analysts but as catalysts for change. This mindset was echoed in various sessions, workshops, and interactive talks that followed.

One highlight was a workshop on future-proofing business analysis in an AI-driven world, which delved into integrating AI and machine learning into analysis work. It was eye-opening to see how we can leverage technology to not just analyze data but also to forecast trends and enable more strategic decision-making.

Another standout session covered agile methodologies for business analysts, where I gained practical tools to apply in agile environments. It was great to see how others had implemented agile principles to improve communication and adaptability within their teams. Plus, networking with peers during breaks and roundtable discussions gave me fresh ideas and allowed me to exchange experiences on real-life challenges.

The IIBA Poland Summit was more than just a learning experience—it was an adventure in seeing the business analysis profession in a broader, more dynamic light. I returned home with actionable insights, new professional connections, and a renewed enthusiasm for my role in helping businesses navigate change.
