Enterprise Integration Architecture Patterns
That’s an excellent technical article that will be helpful for experienced business analysts. The story here takes place on a boundary where business and solution architecture collide. The author takes different perspectives, or “viewpoints,” on enterprise architecture and various patterns to use to achieve success. They include the scope and hierarchy of integration within the enterprise (business level), moving to specifics of different aspects of integration, such as layers of integration and security concerns. Highly recommend.
UX Cheat Sheet: Common sign-up patterns
Another inspirational article from Tess Gadd. You might have seen my adoration for this author in my previous digests. Well, the situation did not change at all! Highly recommend!
Design Study Guides from NN Group
Design-Pattern Guidelines and Mobile UX: I wish I had these ten years ago! It would have significantly favored my and others’ careers by boosting common design knowledge and the specificity of UX solutions. The only thing is left to invent time travel to take this back, but that’s a topic for another article.
Prototyping in Figma: Work smarter, not harder
Needless to say that it’s better to see once than hear a hundred times. To apply this principle in software development, we create prototypes, which, more than usual, take a lot of time. That’s why any time I see an article about tricks that help with this endeavor, I instantly share. Especially when the tick is for some tool, like Figma in this case. This time I found a great article that provides readers with tips on creating prototypes for standard and widespread solutions. Hope it’s going to be helpful!
I’m a Salesforce Business Analyst and I used ChatGPT to assist me. Here’s how it went
I felt it with my skin: as soon as ChatGPT emerged to beta, someone would try to test it for creating software requirements. I even was slightly worried that I would have to deal with the customers poking me with jokes about not needing business analysts in their projects anymore. But fortunately, I find more and more articles with the analysis of the possibilities ChatGPT may provide. Specifically, this article caught my eye because of the case-based study of the system’s capability. TL;DR: it’s alive, but nothing to worry about. It might become a great tool in the future. P.S. It’s obvious, but I would not suggest using it for real projects, as I have the slightest feeling that such a thing violates any NDA.
User stories, not requirements: why UX needs to be at Agile backlogs.
That’s a common mistake to mix user stories and requirements into the same spot and use one instead of another. That’s because many teams utilize the user stories as a buzzword and use them as a fancy container for functional system requirements and all kinds of NFRs. The bottom line is that they are not, but the latter comes from the initial. User stories are cards for discussion, and user requirements, are derived from needs. Other requirements above are solutions to these needs. Disagree? Change my mind in the comments 😊.
Groupthink in UX Work
I know that it says “in UX work,” but what is said in this article is highly reusable in any activity involving a group of people. It’s funny how often I was trapped in a situation when I was not ready to stand against others’ opinions in the group or not entirely sure of what was going on and was silent. I hoped others, specifically more experienced fellows, knew better. Which means that many times I was wrong. I believe this article will help others with the same difficulties I had, overcome the challenges of being afraid to speak up, and fix the negative group dynamics that might be happening.

Це чудова технічна стаття, яка буде корисною для досвідчених бізнес-аналітиків. Розповідь відбувається на межі, де стикаються бізнес архітектура та архітектура рішень. Автор розглядає різні перспективи або «точки зору» на архітектуру підприємства та різні моделі, які можна використовувати для досягнення успіху. Автор розглядає різні аспекти, починаючи з обсягу та ієрархії інтеграції всередині підприємства (бізнес-рівень), переходячи до особливостей різних особливостей інтеграції, таких як рівні інтеграції та проблеми безпеки. Дуже рекомендую.

Цього разу я знайшов чудову статтю, яка надає читачам поради щодо створення прототипів стандартних і поширених рішень. Сподіваюсь вона стане вам у пригоді!

Я відчув це майже що шкірою: щойно ChatGPT вийшов у бета-версію, хтось мав спробувти його для створення вимог для розробки програмного забеспечення. Я навіть трохи хвилювався, що мені доведеться мати справу з клієнтами, які б жартували мені про те, що їм більше не потрібні бізнес-аналітики в їхніх проектах. Але, на щастя, я знаходжу все більше і більше статей із серйозним аналізом можливостей, які може надати ChatGPT. Зокрема, ця стаття привернула мою увагу через дослідження можливостей системи на основі прикладів авторки. TL;DR: воно живе, але нема про що хвилюватися. Цей інструмент може стати чудовим помічником у майбутньому. P.S. Це очевидно, але я б не пропонував використовувати інструмент для реальних проектів, оскільки у мене є легке відчуття, що така річ порушує будь-яку NDA.
User stories, not requirements: why UX needs to be at Agile backlogs.
Поширена помилка – змішувати історії користувачів і вимоги в один котел та використовувати одне замість іншого. Це тому, що багато команд використовують історії користувачів як модне слово та використовують їх як красивенький контейнер для функціональних та системних вимог і всіх видів NFR. Коротше, юзер сторі не є вимогами, але останні походять від перших. Історії користувачів — це картки для обговорення, тобто вимоги користувачів, що випливають із потреб. А от усі інші вищезазначені вимоги є солюшенами для цих потреб, то ж змішувати одне з одним некоректно. Не згодні? Спробуйте переконати мене в коментарях 😊.
Groupthink in UX Work
Я знаю, що там написано «в UX-роботі», але те, що сказано в цій статті, можна використовувати в будь-якій діяльності, яка включає групу людей. Дивно, як часто я опинявся в пастці ситуації, коли не був готовий протистояти думці інших у групі або не зовсім впевнений у тому, що відбувається, тому тихенько сидів не намагаючись влізти зі своїми ідеями. Я сподівався що інші, особливо більш досвідчені айтішники, знають краще. Що означає, скільки разів я помилявся. Я вірю, що ця стаття допоможе іншим із тими ж труднощами, що мав я, подолати страх та висловльовлювати свою думку, тим самим виправити негативну групову динаміку, яка може мати місце.
